Fairmints
Fairminting is a process of Counterparty token creation - minting, allowing users to mint in a decentralized manner.
How does Fairmint work?
One user initiates a minter, either with a "premint", i.e. with a defined supply of tokens that is directly minted to their wallet, or without. Anyone can then mint for themselves.
Each Fairmint is availaible for a certain period of time (sometimes, the end date may not be defined) and has a fixed quantity per mint (number of units you'll get with each mint).
The Fairmint can be free, in which case you'll only need to pay the blockchain transaction fee, or it has a fixed price in XCP.
To initiate a fairmint, just pick an active one from the list, and click on "Mint Now".
- Your wallet will ask you to sign the transaction, click on the "Sign" button to confirm.
-
You'll see a confirmation that your transaction has been broadcasted.
-
You can copy the transaction hash, or directly click on the button to go to your transaction history page. Your transaction will first appear on the list of unconfirmed transactions, then on the list of fairmints. Do not forget to filter your transactions to find it.
Fairminted ORBs can also be exchanged on the ORBital marketplace.
